Traffic
The Traffic screen: site totals, breakdowns and the full lists of pages, queries, folders and page groups from Search Console.
Traffic shows the whole property as Search Console reports it: totals, a daily chart, breakdowns, your tracked keywords, and lists of every page and query, including queries you do not track.
Period and comparison
- Period buttons: 28 days, 3 months (the default), 6 months and 12 months. The calendar takes a custom range.
- In the calendar, Compare with offers Same period last year, Previous period and Custom. By default Traffic compares with last year when synced data covers it, otherwise with the previous period.
- Search Console's newest days are provisional: drawn dashed and left out of totals and changes.
Totals, chart and breakdowns
- The cards Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Avg. position switch the metric of the daily chart.
- Breakdown cards: Device, Country, Search appearance and Brand vs non-brand. Click a device, country or brand row to filter the screen.
- A country filter shows the whole property on all devices for that country. Tracked keywords are not broken down by country.
- The Tracked keywords table lists Share of clicks, Clicks, Change, Impr., CTR, Pos. and Type per keyword.
The lists
Below, five tabs load their rows from Search Console on demand. Each shows Share of clicks, Clicks, Change, Impr., CTR and Pos., 100 rows per page, for all devices.
| Tab | What a row is | Extra column |
|---|---|---|
| Pages | One URL. Expand it to see the queries that land on it; click it to open the page detail. | Top query |
| Queries | One query, tracked or not. Track adds it to the rank tracker. | Tracking |
| Query × page | One query on one URL. Queries with clicks on more than one page are flagged, for example “2 pages compete”. | Pages ranking for this query |
| Folders | Pages rolled up by their first path segment. Expanding shows up to 50 second-level folders. | Pages with clicks |
| Groups | Your page groups, plus Ungrouped for pages in none. | Pages |
Row limits
| Source | Rows per list |
|---|---|
| Search Console interface | 1,000 |
| Serplyze through the Search Console API (paid plans) | Up to 50,000 queries, 25,000 pages, 50,000 query × page pairs |
| Serplyze with a connected BigQuery bulk export (paid plans) | Up to 100,000 rows |
| Free plan | The top 100 rows by clicks |
Rare queries that Google anonymizes are never listed. When a list is cut at a limit, the line under the table says so. See BigQuery.
The first load of a period can take a while on large sites; the list is then kept until the next daily update.
Filters and quick views
- The search box takes plain text or a regular expression and matches the query and the URL.
- The filter bar adds conditions per column. Text columns: contains, does not contain, equals, starts with, ends with, matches regex, does not match regex. Number columns: =, ≠, >, ≥, <, ≤, between, is empty, has data.
- Regex is case-insensitive, at most 200 characters, and patterns with nested repeats such as
(a+)+are rejected.
| Quick view | Rule |
|---|---|
| New | Impressions in this period, none in the comparison period |
| Lost | Impressions in the comparison period, none now |
| Striking distance | Average position 4, 8 or 11 to 20 with at least 10, 50, 100, 500 or 1,000 impressions (default: 4–20 and 50) |
| Losing clicks / Growing | Fewer or more clicks than in the comparison period, biggest change first |
| AI-style | Long or question-style queries (Queries and Query × page only). See AI search |
| CTR drop at top | Position 3 or better in both periods, moved at most 1, 100+ impressions in each, CTR down 25% or more |
Quick views are on Pages, Queries and Query × page. All except Striking distance and AI-style need a comparison period.
Page groups
- Open the Groups tab and click Create page groups (later: Manage groups), then New page group.
- Name the group and add conditions on the URL path: contains, starts with, is exactly, ends with, matches regex, doesn't contain, doesn't match regex. Choose whether all or any must match. Comma-separated values match when any of them does; case does not matter.
- Optionally add Pinned URLs, one per line. They are always in the group.
- Check Matching pages on the right, then click Save group.
- Start from your top folders suggests one group per folder.
- Limits: 100 groups per project, 10 conditions and 200 pinned URLs per group.
- A page can be in several groups. Share of site clicks uses a site total that counts every page once; a line under the table says how many pages overlap.
- On the Pages tab, the Page group dropdown limits the list to one group or to ungrouped pages.
Page detail
Clicking a URL opens its page: Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Avg. position for 28 days, 3, 6, 12 or 16 months, a daily chart, the queries that land on the page with their share of its clicks, and the page's notes. Log action records a change made to the page. On the Free plan only your top 100 pages have a detail page.
Exports
Every Export button offers CSV, Excel (.xlsx) and Copy for Sheets: the daily series, each breakdown card, the tracked keywords and each list. A list export contains every matching row, not only the 100 on screen. See Exports.
