Reports

Build a report for a project, schedule it by email, share it with a read-only link and save it as a PDF.

A report is a saved layout for one project. Serplyze fills it with that project's data, emails it on a schedule and can open it from a read-only link.

Open Reports in a project. The builder has the tabs Content, Schedule & delivery and History, next to a Live preview.

Create a report

  1. Click New report, or click Use on a template: Weekly client update, Monthly SEO report, Content health, Group deep-dive or one you saved.
  2. Set the name, scope and sections on Content, then the schedule, recipients and formats on Schedule & delivery.
  3. Click Send test to me to email it to yourself only (10 tests per person per hour).
  4. Click Save. A report needs at least one recipient before it can be saved.

Above the tabs are Download PDF, Duplicate, Save as template, Pause (or Resume) and Delete. A paused report keeps its schedule and sends nothing.

Save as template stores the sections, layout, schedule and email text for every project in the workspace, without recipients, group scope or custom dates. A workspace keeps up to 50.

Good to know

Changing reports needs edit access to the project. See Team and access.

Scope, device and comparison

  • Groups: All keywords, or one or more keyword groups.
  • Device: All devices, Mobile or Desktop. Sections with a Device option can override it.
  • Compare with: Previous period or Same period last year. One-off reports also have Custom.
  • Date range covered depends on the frequency.
FrequencyDate ranges
DailyLast final day, Last 7 days
WeeklyLast full week (Mon to Sun), Last 7 days, Last 28 days
MonthlyLast full month, Last 28 days, Last 3 months
One-offLast quarter, Last 28 days, Year to date, Custom dates

Reports count final Search Console days only (usually up to 2 to 3 days ago). A daily report on Last final day compares with the same weekday a week earlier. See How the data works.

Cover, summary and contents

  • Cover page: its own page with Title, Client name (120 characters each), the period and the logo.
  • Executive summary: up to 1,500 characters, printed before the sections.
  • Table of contents: printed when the report has 3 or more pages.

Live preview

The preview shows the A4 pages built from this project's data and updates as you edit. Under it you see Next send, Covers, Recipients, Delivery and Share link.

Schedule

  • Daily: pick the days of the week to send on.
  • Weekly: pick one day.
  • Monthly: 1st, 2nd, 15th or Last day.
  • One-off: pick the send date.
  • Time: 07:00, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 12:00 or 17:00.
  • Time zone: Europe/Istanbul, Europe/London, Europe/Berlin, America/New_York or UTC.
Limit

These times and time zones are the only choices today. A report is sent at most once in 20 hours.

Recipients

Type an address and click Add. A report goes to at most 20 addresses. Each has a role tag, Internal or Client: addresses at the project's domain start as Internal, and a click on the tag changes it. Copies of a report keep internal recipients only.

Plan

On the Free plan, reports go only to members of the workspace with a verified email. Paid plans can send to clients and other outside addresses. See pricing.

  • Unsubscribe: every email to an address outside the workspace has an unsubscribe link. An address that used it is marked Unsubscribed and skipped; adding it again does not resubscribe it.
  • Daily limit: a workspace sends at most 200 report emails in any 24 hours (50 on Free).

Subject and intro tokens

Subject takes up to 120 characters; Intro message is free text. Click a token to insert it: in the field it is the name below in curly braces. As recipients will see it shows the result. The project's domain is added to the subject when missing.

Token nameFilled with

Formats

  • PDF via link: the email has a View report button that opens the report page for that send. The link works for 90 days and the PDF is saved from that page.
  • Inline email summary: KPIs and top movers in the email body.
  • CSV of tables: one CSV file per table section that is switched on.

Branding

Choose the Logo on the cover (Serplyze or Custom logo: SVG or PNG, up to 1 MB) and the Accent colour (Navy, Deep navy, Orange or Ink).

Plan

A custom logo and accent colour need a paid plan. Hide Serplyze branding needs the Agency add-on. See White-label.

  1. Save the report and find Public share link on Schedule & delivery.
  2. Pick an expiry: Never expires, or 7, 30 or 90 days.
  3. Turn the switch on and click Copy link.

Anyone with the link opens the latest version of that report, read-only, without signing in. Turning the switch off breaks the link at once. The address is shown only when created; New link replaces it later.

Save as PDF

Download PDF opens the saved report's print view and your browser's print dialog. Choose Save as PDF as the destination. Unsaved changes are not included.

Delivery history

History lists the latest 30 sends with time, period, recipients and status. View and PDF render that period from the current data. A failed send names the addresses and the reason, with Resend and Remove address.

Limit

Email opens are not tracked. Report text is in English today.

What recipients see

A report holds one project's data. A recipient gets that report and nothing else from your workspace; a share link opens that one report. In the app, members and clients only see reports of projects they have access to. A member of your workspace who has no access to the report's project cannot be added as a recipient and is skipped at sending; give them access to the project first.
