Ask Serplyze

The in-app chat: how to open it, which questions it answers, what is sent to the AI provider and what stays in Serplyze.

Ask Serplyze is a chat panel that answers questions about your Search Console and Serplyze data in plain language. Use it when you want a number, a list or an explanation without opening the screen that holds it.

Opening the chat

  • Click Ask in the header of any app page, or press ⌘J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux.
  • With a project open, the chat answers about that project. From the Dashboard it answers across all projects you can see.
  • It knows the period selected on the screen you are on. A question that names no period uses that one.
  • Enter sends, Shift+Enter starts a new line, Esc closes the panel.
  • The conversation stays open while you move between pages. Your recent questions are saved per project and are visible only to you; Clear history removes them.

What it answers

TopicExample of what you get
Site trafficClicks, impressions, CTR and position for a period, as a total or by day, week or month, with a device, country or brand split
Queries and pagesTop queries and landing pages, sorted by clicks, change or position
Tracked keywordsKeywords that improved, declined, started or stopped ranking, or are in the top 3 or top 10; one keyword in detail; keyword groups
OpportunitiesStriking-distance queries, CTR gaps, cannibalised keywords, decaying or growing pages, rising queries you do not track
Why something changedA breakdown of a drop or rise by device, country, page, query and day, with the Google updates in the period
Work and resultsAlerts, logged actions with their impact, a backlinks summary
OutlookProjected site clicks for the next 30, 90, 180 or 365 days; the AI-style query share, labelled as an estimate
PortfolioAll your projects compared for a period

Periods can be relative (“last week”, “last 28 days”, “this month”) or exact dates, and you can ask for a comparison with the previous period or with last year. Follow-ups such as “and on mobile?” reuse the previous question and change only what you changed.

How answers are produced

  1. Understanding… Your question goes to an AI model at OpenAI. The model's only job is to pick which of Serplyze's built-in reports fits the question, and with which parameters (period, device, sort order and so on).
  2. Serplyze checks that choice against a fixed list of reports and allowed parameters. Anything else is discarded.
  3. Fetching data… Serplyze runs the report on its own servers, with your access rights.
  4. The answer is written by fixed templates from the result. The model never sees the result and writes none of the numbers.
Sent to the AI providerNever sent

Good to know

What you type is sent as it is. If you write a keyword or a URL into your question, that text is part of the question. See Security and privacy.

Languages

The chat understands questions in English and Turkish and writes Turkish answers to Turkish questions. Questions in other languages get an English answer.

Limits

  • A question can be up to 500 characters.
  • One question runs at most 3 reports, and normally one.
  • Lists show 10 rows unless you ask for a number, up to 50. Tables in an answer can be downloaded as CSV.
  • There is no plan quota. To prevent abuse, each user can ask at most 30 questions a minute and 1,000 a day.
  • The same question asked again within 5 minutes reuses the earlier result.
  • Periods end on the last day with final Search Console data, and can reach back up to 480 days.
Limit

The chat answers from your data only. It does not give general SEO advice, write content, or change anything in your account (it cannot add keywords, edit settings or log actions). For such questions it says so and links to the screens that can help.

Where it is not available

  • Available on every plan, to team members of every role.
  • Not available in the client portal: clients have no chat.
  • In meeting mode, answers cover only the projects you kept visible.
  • It respects project access: you cannot ask about a project you cannot open.
